Our Local Food Bank
We work locally with the L & F Market and Manhattan Bank, providing assistance to our Manhattan Families while supporting our local businesses. Our online food bank collects generous donations and streamlines the process of providing aid to families in need. By giving eligible candidates funds to spend at the local grocery store, our support will best serve the personal needs of individual families. Our process eliminates traditional foodbank overhead and maximizes our volunteer efforts to provide a much needed service to local families.
Candidates may apply once a month for up to $100 in support.
Applicants must be a Manhattan resident.

Submit an application and once you are qualified we will have a gift card waiting for you at the L&F market. With this card you will be able to purchase healthy food for yourself and your family.
Alcohol, tobacco, soda and candy are NOT eligible for purchase under this assistance program.

Meals for Manhattan families is a program created by Manhattan families for Manhattan families. We all understand about life’s ups and downs and that from time to time we all need a helping hand.
We are living in trying times where we don’t know what crazy thing is going to happen tomorrow. What we want is to make sure everyone in our community does know where their next meal is coming from and that no one goes to bed hungry.
Through Meals for Manhattan families our main goal is to provide Healthy food to all families that need support. We have set up a simple process to where you are able to shop for the healthy foods you like and when you need them. We strive to have as much privacy as possible.
We know that our community is full of great people who care about the neighbors, sometimes you don’t realize they are the ones that need help. This site and system was designed so you can help support your neighbors when they need it.

We are Local families that live here, work here & raise our kids here. We have a true love for our community and the people in it.

How You Can Help
Can you imagine working 1 or 2 jobs and still having a hard time paying all the bills and putting food on the table. Imagine being the one in the family that supports and provides for your kids and losing your job. This could happen to any one of us. This could be your neighbor. We want to help! You can directly help your neighbor or other local families in need. All money raised here stays here in our community. For every $100.00 donated you feed a family of four for a month. We work locally with the L & F Market and Manhattan bank to keep all Manhattan families fed and the money in town.
